When Lordship Salvationists Attack!
PLEASE NOTE: I changed up the way I’m sharing information and am now on Youtube. You should definitely come check out my channel. Click the link, and I’ll see you there! (FYI - My beliefs have changed on some subjects since writing for this website.)
" I am Paul Washer, and I am becoming more holy than you!"
On a certain website I visited, called Jay's Analysis, the writer gave his views of why he felt that Paul Washer was a false prophet. Not surprisingly, in the comments section, I found statements left by ignorant “Christians” defending Paul Washer. Modern “Christianity” is full of hypocrites called Lordship Salvationists. They do not know how to be saved, and instead of simple belief on Jesus Christ, they say you must “repent of your sins” and make Jesus “Lord of your life.” Since these “Christians” are wrong about how to become saved, they also have no discernment when it comes to recognizing a false prophet. Look at what Jesus said in Matthew 7:15-20.
“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”
Now look at Romans 16:17-18.
“Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.”
Jesus said that false prophets will be identifiable by their fruits, or what they produce. Does Paul Washer produce good fruit? No. He produces self-righteous hypocrites who cling to the false religion of Lordship Salvation. Instead of true believers in Jesus Christ, Paul Washer produces “converts” who are taught to trust in their own righteousness as proof that they have been saved. The apostle Paul said anyone teaching a doctrine which contradicts the doctrine of the Bible is not a servant of Jesus Christ, but rather, their own belly. They serve themselves, teaching their own man-made doctrines, and by clever words they fool simple-minded people who do not understand the Bible for themselves.
Paul Washer is a false prophet. Anyone who teaches Lordship Salvation is a false prophet. These are disgusting times when so many “Christians” are blind to the truth and continue to support heresies, such as the damnable heresy of Lordship Salvation.
John 6:47: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” – Jesus
Lordship Salvationists hate the preceding verse. They have rewritten the Gospel, creating a fake one in the process. Here is what they would have you believe that Jesus meant:
“He that repents of his sins and surrenders his life to me has everlasting life.”
Unfortunately for these stubborn Gospel haters, they are ignorant of God’s simple plan to save all who believe on Jesus Christ alone. Let’s take a look at a few quotes from people who defended Paul Washer (or Paul Brainwasher) on this website I visited.
“I am from Albania, and I find Paul Washer very Biblical, we need man of God like Him here in Albania with all these non biblical things that are in our churches today.”
Wrong. Paul Washer is not Biblical. He contradicts the Bible by giving a different plan of salvation than the one God gives. This person said there are non-Biblical things in churches today. A gospel that tells people they must “repent of their sins” to be saved is non-Biblical. Since this phony gospel is being taught in Paul Washer’s church, then yes, there most certainly are non-Biblical things in churches today.
“I am NOT an adherent to Paul Washer yet recognize him clearly as a brother.”
A brother? As in a brother in Christ? Wrong. What this person should do is recognize Paul Washer as a false prophet.
“At the end of the day it is all about Jesus. I am convinced that Mr. Washer is not a false prophet.”
This person may be convinced that Paul Washer is not a false prophet. However, the Bible makes it clear that Paul Washer is indeed one.
“I have been watching Washer for 5 years now, and just recently I was surprised that he was Calvinist, but that does not change my views on his passion about preaching the Gospel.”
This is just sad. Paul Washer? A passion for preaching the Gospel? He corrupts the Gospel! Wake up, “Christians!” Stop being deceived!
Do you see the ignorance in modern “Christianity?” If a man is preaching a false gospel message, he should be exposed! He should not be defended and celebrated! These are the end times, folks. Here is what the Bible says about these people who have jumped on the Lordship Salvation train wreck:
1st Timothy 4:1-2: “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron.”
Many people have left their simple faith in Jesus Christ behind and placed their faith instead in their “repenting of sin” and holy living as their method and proof of salvation. This is because of grace-hating fools like Paul Washer and his fellow Lordship Salvation heretics.
In order to share some Bible truth, I left the following comment on the website:
“Is Paul Washer a false prophet? A simple look at the Bible’s definition of a false prophet will answer this question. Acts 13:6 mentions a false prophet who was with the deputy of the country of Paphos. Paul and Barnabas were preaching the Gospel there. In verse 9, it is said that this false prophet attempted to “turn away the deputy from the faith.” So the mark of a false prophet is one who tries to keep people from believing on Jesus Christ, thus becoming saved. This means that Paul Washer is INDEED a false prophet. He is a devil straight from hell. He hates the simplicity of Christ and has falsely claimed that salvation can take weeks or months. WRONG! Paul Washer is a deceiver! Paul Washer lies to ignorant people who do NOT search the Scriptures themselves to see how ridiculous this deceiver’s lies actually are. Paul Washer hates the Romans Road, because he wants salvation to be something that must be earned, thus making it IMPOSSIBLE. Paul Washer claims salvation is offered freely by God for having faith in Jesus apart from works, but then this wolf in sheep’s clothing goes on to say that without works, one is not saved. Why can’t his IGNORANT followers see this evil doubletalk? Paul Washer is one of many “pastors” fulfilling the prophecy of 1st Timothy 4:1: “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.” Paul Washer is causing people who claim to be saved to fall away from the true faith found in Jesus Christ, and into the trap of believing a holy life is part of salvation, instead of what is expected AFTER ONE HAS ALREADY BEEN SAVED. It is truly, truly sad to see people who claim they know Jesus supporting this man. He may have some truth mixed in with his lies, but that is because the devil knows the best way to lie to people is to be subtle, just as the false prophet was said to be in Acts 13:10. When will Christians actually crack open a Bible and learn the truth? It won’t happen as long as they get their doctrines from enemies of the cross of Christ like Paul Washer.
What can you be sure of? Paul Washer is a FALSE PROPHET. Is he aware, or is he just plain stupid when it comes to understanding the simplicity of God’s Gospel? I don’t know, but either way, he is a deceiver who is simply fulfilling the many Scriptures that warned of the “ministers of righteousness” that would arrive on the scene to deceive many.”
Eventually, but not surprisingly, a Lordship Salvationist located my post and decided to spew his lies, which he has been taught by fools like Paul Washer. Had he read the Bible, he would have learned truth instead of lies. Note the arrogance and pride in this man’s response. I have underlined areas that are particularly interesting.
“Sadly you have no understanding of the scriptures as of YET. What you have taken a few scriptures out context and then built your own dogmatic beliefs around that. It’s called unequivocal fallacy, and the reason you have done this is to excuse your love of sin, and self and hate of God. Inside you know you love your sins more than you do God, and THAT is why you’re against those who hate sin, and why you make excuses for your sins. As Peter said, having your conscience SEERED. Essentially by you taking a few scriptures here and there (and adulterating them) around your OWN preconceived ideology, you have created a god in your mind, a god which does not exist. You have thus broken the second commandment. This is all because you cannot cease from sinning, so you make up any excuse you can conjure out of perverting the scriptures.
You say, “Paul Washer is causing people who claim to be saved to fall away from the true faith found in Jesus Christ, and into the trap of believing a holy life is part of salvation.” No, that is what Yahushua (Jesus) taught. He said, “Unless you REPENT you will PERISH.” (See Luke 13:3). He told the men and woman He healed “Go and sin ((((((NO MORE))))),” He said “REPENT and BELIEVE.”
You see in how much error you are? So much so the one who you claim with you mouth is your savior, is the same one you deny by your actions because your deeds are evil. “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who (((DOES))) the will of My Father in heaven.” (Matthew 7:21).
You see how the scriptures are rebuking your erroneous ungodly ways?
Moreover, Christ said, “in VAIN do these people worship me, they draw nigh unto me with their mouth (like you), but their HEARTS are FAR from Me.” Again you forget what else the Messiah taught, He said in Matthew 5:48: “Be ye therefore PERFECT, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.”
The Bible says, “Be angry and sin NOT” it says make no provision for the flesh, and John said whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the DEVIL. Paul warned no sodomite, no murderer, no liar, no drunkard, no blasphemer shall inherit or even see the Kingdom of Heaven. The Bible says, we are called to be separate, and to be Holy.
What did James say? “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” (James 2:26). So evidently you condone DEAD works. You see it’s because you haven’t experienced the POWER and conviction of the HOLY GHOST yet.
It’s all true, we ARE indeed saved by GRACE, and NOT of works, YET simultaneously faith without works is (((DEAD))). Therefore we conclude, that repentance is the RESULT and EVIDENCE that God has saved you, and put His Spirit within you, SO that we may live Holy unto the Lord. NOT because it will earn us a brownie point with God, NO but because we are not our own anymore but the Lord’s.
The Bible says present your BODIES as a living sacrifice to the Lord. Paul said, “Shall we continue to sin, so that grace may abound? GOD FORBID!”
James 5:20 states, “Let him know that he who converts a sinner from the ERROR of his way, shall save a soul and hide a multitude of sins.”
So the one giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons is you, as everything you believe is contrary to SOUND doctrine.
You need to start praying for wisdom, for understanding, and before you open God’s word ask Him to quicken His word, and apply His word unto your heart, and start humbling yourself. Remember he who hates he’s brother is a MURDERER in his heart, Christ warned. Remove the log out your own eye first, so that you may see CLEARLY before attempting to remove the log out others. God resists the pride and gives grace unto the humble.
Satan is the accuser of the brethren, so go repent, and understand the price that was paid by Christ, that He has said if you love him to continue in His commandments, and that He has commanded us to REPENT and believe. Start fearing God, it’s the beginning of wisdom. “work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” (Phillipians 2:12).”
As I look at such condescending nonsense as the preceding rubbish, I wonder if this person has the same thing that God does in Heaven.
Revelation 4:8-9: “And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever.”
The beasts in this passage circle the throne of God endlessly, calling out “Holy, holy, holy.” Lordship Salvationists, since they claim to have turned from all their sin, surely deserve this same sort of worship.
This man was full of many accusations. Unfortunately, he failed to see that everything I said was according to Biblical truth. If you have read my previous articles on Lordship Salvation, you will know that I call those belonging to that false religion a bunch of prideful hypocrites. They love to put down those who are true believers in Christ, because Lordship Salvationists do not want to share salvation with people who are not as holy as Lordship Salvationists truly believe they are. Lordship Salvationists will pervert Scripture, and then they will say that someone who is exposing their false religion has done so. They will keep using the word “repent,” even though they have no understanding of what the word even means in Scripture. All they do is repeat unsound, false doctrine, which has been spoon-fed to them by false prophets pretending to be holy.
Let’s continue on. Here was my reply to this religious and prideful heretic:
“The saved part of me knows I should answer you in a controlled, calm manner. The flesh part of me wants to ask how you can be such an unlearned hypocrite? The reason I get so short with people when discussing this subject is because I’m sick of all the Pharisees who are choosing to be religious in order that they can brag, and who falsely claim you must be this way in order to be saved. Let’s take a look at how many false claims there are in your post.
First of all, you and most everyone preaching your false doctrine has NO idea what repentance is. I cannot believe the ignorance of your crowd, and I sincerely mean that. You all say the same thing over and over and over and over again. Repentance is not turning from sin, no matter HOW many times you repeat that. God repented many times in the Old Testament. Seriously, you need to toss out that garbage that has been drilled into your head concerning what repentance is, because you’ve been taught wrong. If you don’t understand a word, don’t use it. Repentance means to have a changed mind. To say repentance is necessary for salvation is true to the extent that one must change their mind and go from unbelief in Christ to belief in Christ. Show me one place in the Bible where “repent of your sins” is said. You won’t find it, because it’s a made up idea some mistaken fool came up with to confuse people about what repentance actually is. That’s why every time God repented in the Bible was removed in newer translations, in order to create false doctrine, so that people think repentance is something that only happens to man.
Yeah, Jesus told the woman taken in adultery to “go, and sin no more.” Now hopefully you have a Bible, and a good one. Turn to John 5:14. Jesus healed a man’s infirmity, and then he tells him, “sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.” Sin does not take away salvation. Sin causes chastisement by God for one who is saved. Jesus made it clear that sin can cause an infirmity or worse, so sin should be avoided.
Since you want to bring up Matthew 7:21, let’s look at what it ACTUALLY says, and also the two following verses. They say that many claiming to know Jesus will be cast into Hell. People who brag about their works. Jesus didn’t say those who believed on Him would be cast out. Religious people will be. Those who think they are so holy and righteous, and have put too much faith in their works. Jesus says here that people who do the “will of my Father” are saved. Turn to John 6:40 to find out what that will is.
“And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”
The very verse you’re trying to use against me is speaking about an entirely different crowd, one that you belong to. I’ve seen it many times. It’s a go to verse for your crowd, and it fails every time.
Faith without works is dead? Sure. You can possess a dead, unfruitful faith. Did James say salvation without works is dead? No.
James 2:14: “What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?”
Titus 3:8: “This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.”
Do you see the word PROFIT in those two verses? Works are for a PROFIT. They are not done to be saved or maintain salvation. Keep works in their place or you teach heresy.
Your crowd loves to throw out the old slur “You just love your sins!” That’s just a claim you make in order to build up your unsound doctrines. Sin does not keep anyone from Heaven. Unbelief does. Works are fruit of salvation, but are not necessary to be saved or maintain that status. Teaching otherwise is corrupting the Gospel of Christ, which says Christ did it all on the cross. Toss out the self righteousness and read your Bible. Stop listening to false prophets who have corrupted modern “Christianity.” They are liars and fakes trying to confuse the subject of salvation. Learn what repentance means, and keep works in their rightful place, and you will begin to see the truth. God is not the author of confusion, and it’s time for people to come to their senses and abandon all this heresy coming from people like Paul Washer.”
Fortunately, this Lordship Salvationist came back to once again rebuke me for my “erroneous ungodly ways.” False prophets never seem to tire of spreading heresy, and they have trained their followers to be like-minded. Here is part two of my rebuke at the hands of a Lordship Salvationist, and once again, pay attention to the prideful accusations and underlined areas:
“Shall we continue that sin may abound? GOD FORBID”! I will have no choice but to keep thoroughly REBUKING and dismantling your false deceptive doctrine on this post.
You see, again even though God’s Holy word has rebuked and reproved you, you have hardened your heart as the child of the devil you still are and instead of been grateful to God for reproving your satanic erroneous ways you have shaken your fists at the most high. The SCRIPTURES expose your foolishness and yet you PERSIST making yourself an enemy of the cross.
Again you say “The saved part of me knows I should answer you in a controlled, calm manner. The flesh part of me wants to ask how you can be such an unlearned hypocrite?” Yet you DID say it, didn’t you? Which only goes to prove that you aren’t a spirit filled disciple of Christ, but are still controlled by the flesh.
That’s exactly why you (just as satan would), accused Paul washer of been of the devil, and we all know that the devil is an accuser. And AS Christ warned about people such as yourself, “Ye shall know them by their fruits.”
You are bitter, you aren’t long suffering, ignorant, arrogant and filled with hatred, because you are filled with the Spirit of God as of yet unfortunately.
“Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. 11 Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening?” (James 3:10-11).
It’s easy to see the fruits of hatred and darkness in you. Remember what Jesus said, “He who calls someone a fool is in danger of HELL” (and you’ve thrown name callings at Paul Washer worse than that).
You say “Repentance is not turning from sin, no matter HOW many times you repeat that.”
I never said that, the NAME on whom you call said that. JESUS said, “UNLESS you REPENT you will all likewise PERISH.” When Jesus said that, He they were trying to bring His attention to those whose blood Pilate had mixed with the sacrifices. The context of the passage was regarding sin.
You are simply a false convert deceived by lucifer, thinking your safe and headed towards Heaven, but you’re sadly gonna wake up and find yourself in outter darkness, in torment, in hell, because you REFUSED to take instruction from God’s word.
Also you asked me, where in the Bible it says repent of your sins? Which shows me again how huffed and puffed you were and never read my post thoroughly.
Lol, REPENT means to TURN from your sins, it means a change of mindset.
Please carefully, and don’t let satan still the word of God, are you ready for it? Sure?
Luke 3:3 “And he went into all the region around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of REPENTANCE for the remission of (((((SINS))))” but because you have made your heart hard against the most high, you eyes just REFUSE to see that. Instead you run off to other scriptures (which you suppose contradict that), but yet scripture NEVER contradicts itself. What are you going to do with ALL these scriptures which prove your evil belief wrong? Do you even know what sin is? It’s anything which goes against the will of God, and YOU are saying that’s ok? Sounds like you’re an advocate of the adversary. The more you type, the more you show how little you understand the scriptures, God and His attributes, His love and the meaning to salvation.
Jeremiah was commanded by God to speak to the people of Jerusalem against their sins, Isaiah spoke against it, David, Solomon, Paul, Peter, Christ. So if you don’t follow the teaching of the one you call Lord, (“If you love me CONTINUE in my COMMANDMENTS”) that means you’re not Christian at all.
Those in Matthew 7:21-24 who say Lord, Lord, have we not done this and that in your name Lord are people like yourself. You wish to boast in your own righteous deeds as your assuming as you don’t believe in Lordship salvation you came to Christ of your own accord, not able to comprehend Lordship salvation. MOREVER read verse 21 CAREFULLY, AGAIN. It says “Those who (((((((DO)))))) the WILL over my Father in Heaven. If you do His will, that means to CEASE from SIN (as sin is anything which is against the will of God). That is why Jesus said we are to be PERFECT like our Father in Heaven is PERFECT. However your father satan the accuser is not perfect, and that’s why you refuse to repent of your sins.
Here is another verse against sin:
Romans 2:5-6: “But in accordance with your hardness and your IMPENITENT heart you are treasuring up for yourself WRATH in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who “will render to each one according to his (((((DEEDS))))).”
And Romans (which is meant specifically for people like you who try your utmost to excuse sin) 6:1-2: “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 CERTAINLY NOT! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?”?????????? I BET you LOVE to avoid that scripture don’t you. As you do with all scripture which rebukes you.
Acts 3:19: “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.”
Luke 17:3 “Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he REPENTS, forgive him.” (How does he repent? By NOT doing it again).
You can’t stab me in the back, say sorry for it, yet keep doing it. That makes YOU a hypocrite.
You have forgotten that Romans 3:23 says the wages of sin is DEATH. You just lack the faith to repent. Remember the Bible says if we believe on Christ and call on His name we SHALL be saved. But you have never believed, you have never called on His name, IF you had, then you would have been drawn to repent of your sins by the Holy Spirit. You would have known the scriptures teach the goodness of God leads you to REPENTANCE.
Have you ever wondered why you feel the way you do? It’s because you simply cannot cease from sinning, because you have no POWER of Christ in you to overcome your sins.
As I said, it’s all of grace, God saves who He has chosen from before the foundation of the world (as the scriptures so clearly teach). We who are chosen in Him, are save solely by GRACE, NOT of our works. But because of His work IN us, through the POWER of the Holy Spirit, He works INSIDE of us to REPENT. See I don’t boast in my good deeds (because my righteous deeds are as filthy rags to God), I boast in the cross of Christ, and that is why I have repent of my sins. It’s the gift of the Holy Spirit, which you don’t seem to have.
It’s always been the case, people like you (worldly carnal people) who have made excuses for sin and generation have come and generation have gone, and where are they now? Except in hell, because they received not the love of the truth, the Bible calls men like you, “men of corrupt minds who cannot cease from sin” (See 2 Peter 2:14). It says that those like you are ACCURSED children because you cannot cease from SIN.
And John said, “In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.” And you know what John said about someone who hates their brother (as you seem to hate Paul Washer so much), that those who hate them, walk in darkness. Yahushua (Jesus) said, LOVE your enemies, bless them. You see that’s just one of the MANY things you refuse to obey and hearken too. It’s sad to see how deceived and mislead you are by satan, and I know unless you repent of your sins and fall at the feet of Christ, you will be cast into everlasting torment, and weep and gnash your teeth for eternity.
Remember Proverbs 28:13 says: “He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and FORSAKES them will have mercy.”
You have not forsaken them that’s why you have this spirit of slumber who (like the Pharisees) are forever learning but NEVER able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Lastly as Christ said: “STRIVE to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able. 25 When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open for us,’ and He will answer and say to you, ‘I do not know you, where you are from,’ 26 then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.’ 27 But He will say, ‘I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.’” (Luke 13:24-27).
Don’t be a worker of iniquity that Christ will command depart from Him, don’t be a lukewarm Christian which God will spue out His mouth. Instead be wise, and repent of your sins and fall at the feet of Christ, and start taking up your cross.
If you were filled with the Holy Spirit, you would know you are called to be separate. Remember the Bible says that if you sin willfully after you have received the knowledge of the truth, that there remains no more forgiveness of sins. That’s what you’re doing, sinning willfully, and thus trampling underfoot the Son of God, like the Pharisees did, who were sinning willfully. Repent while it is still the day of salvation. Maybe God is sending the Holy Spirit to chastise you, which is why you get so upset, and have no self control. The Lord chastises every son He receives.
Remember and don’t forget 2 Peter 2:14-17: “having eyes full of adultery and that (((((cannot cease from SIN)))), enticing unstable souls. They have a heart trained in covetous practices, and are ACCURSED children. 15 They have forsaken the right way and gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; 16 but he was rebuked for his iniquity: a dumb donkey speaking with a man’s voice restrained the madness of the prophet”
Don’t let a donkey rebuke you too”
Perhaps we are in Bible times once again, only this time, the rebuking has been done by a jackass.
Where to start? Conveniently, this website stopped taking comments right after this last post, so I will dissect some of this nonsense here.
“The SCRIPTURES expose your foolishness and yet you PERSIST making yourself an enemy of the cross.”
This guy ignores the fact that Scripture exposes his foolishness, and he tries to say it does so to me instead. And who exactly is an “enemy of the cross?”
Philippians 3:18-19: “(For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)”
Compare that to the following:
Romans 16:17-18: “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.”
The apostle Paul was referring in both passages to people teaching doctrines that contradict what the Bible teaches. I never did that. I said that simple belief on Jesus Christ saves one’s soul, and that no one must “repent of sin” in order to be saved. Please read my other articles to see what I teach, and how I use the Bible as the sole authority.
“And AS Christ warned about people such as yourself, “Ye shall know them by their fruits.”
As mentioned in the opening of this article, that passage was referring to actual teachers and preachers, not someone like me posting things on the Internet. Paul Washer is a preacher, and Paul Washer produces bad fruit. You can see for yourself by sensing the hatred of this so-called “Christian” who responded to me. He is full of pride and hate because he does not understand God’s grace, and he has listened to fools like Paul Washer.
“Remember what Jesus said, “He who calls someone a fool is in danger of HELL” (and you’ve thrown name callings at Paul Washer worse than that).”
Fortunately for me, Jesus was not saying that literally anyone who says “fool” is actually going to Hell. Jesus was making the point that no amount of self-righteousness was good enough to earn God’s favor. The verse that this hypocrite was referring to is Matthew 5:22. Back up a couple of verses to Matthew 5:20, and that will show you the context of what was being taught.
Matthew 5:20-22: “For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.”
Jesus was simply saying that while Pharisees were of the mind that they were righteous because they were not actually killing, that did not make them righteous. Being angry at someone without cause or calling them a fool is equal in God’s mind to killing them. Jesus was illustrating the fact that no amount of self-righteousness is good enough. He was here to create a way for people to have righteousness. He died on the cross so that those who put their faith in Him would receive His righteousness, which is the only way a person can attain righteousness.
And yes, I have called Paul Washer a fool. And a heretic. And a deceiver. He is all these things. Why is he a fool? Because he openly disagrees with God. Paul Washer presents a different plan when it comes to being saved than the one God Himself wrote. If God said to believe on His Son for eternal life, and Paul Washer says to “repent of your sins” and make Jesus your “Lord” to be saved, who are you going to listen to? Are you going to listen to God, who wrote the plan of salvation before He even formed the world? Or are you going to listen to some fool that has never seen God and simply misinterprets Scripture? I’m betting it all on God.
Titus 1:2: “In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began.”
“You are bitter, you aren’t long suffering, ignorant, arrogant and filled with hatred.”
How so? Because I exposed this deceiver’s heresy? How am I ignorant? I used Scripture that was valid to the argument, unlike this guy, who pulls out Scripture verses that are taken out of context. I’m arrogant? He was the one saying he had stopped sinning. I’m filled with hatred? For who? Paul Washer? I don’t hate Paul Washer. I hate his false gospel which is sending people to Hell! I never said otherwise!
“You are simply a false convert deceived by Lucifer.”
2nd Corinthians 11:15: “Therefore it is no great thing if his (Satan’s) ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”
I have not been deceived by Satan. Those teaching Lordship Salvation have. They teach that you must stop sinning and live a holy life to be saved. They believe they are righteous, and thus Satan has transformed them into “the ministers of righteousness.” Remember Romans 3:10:
“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.”
False converts are the fruit of Lordship Salvation, because they have not placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone. They foolishly think they play a part in their salvation by being righteous.
“Luke 3:3 “And he went into all the region around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of REPENTANCE for the remission of (((((SINS))))” but because you have made your heart hard against the most high, you eyes just REFUSE to see that.”
This self-righteous Lordship Salvationist is attempting to use Bible verses that do not help to build his unfound doctrines. Let’s look at this one.
Luke 3:3: “And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.”
This verse is about John the Baptist. He was the prophet God raised up to prepare the way for Jesus Christ. John went around teaching people repentance. Are you ready for the true definition of that word? Let’s look at what John was teaching.
John 1:15: “John bare witness of him (Jesus), and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.”
John 1:26-27: “John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not; He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose.”
While not said by John the Baptist, look also at John 1:17:
“For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.”
Newsflash: John the Baptist was not teaching people to turn from their sins! John was teaching people to look for who was coming after him! He was letting them know that they better believe in the one coming next, because believing in Him would result in remission (forgiveness) of sins! Grace (mercy) and truth were coming by way of Jesus Christ, so people were to repent, or have a new mind, and believe on Him. Where did John teach that repenting meant turning from sin? He didn’t. Lordship Salvationists simply lie about that.
“You wish to boast in your own righteous deeds.”
Where did I boast? Oh, that’s right. I didn’t. But who did boast? Here’s another quote from this prideful “Christian”:
“See I don’t boast in my good deeds (because my righteous deeds are as filthy rags to God), I boast in the cross of Christ, and that is why I have repent of my sins.”
He said I boasted, but he was sure to point out that he has stopped sinning, which is impossible!
1st John 1:8: “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”
Believers in Jesus Christ still have sin present within them! To believe otherwise only proves that there is no truth inside a professing “Christian.”
“However your father satan the accuser is not perfect, and that’s why you refuse to repent of your sins.”
Who did Jesus say had the devil for a father? He said it about Pharisees, who were religious hypocrites just like Lordship Salvationists!
John 8:44: “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”
Do you want to know what one of Satan’s lusts is? The lust, or desire, to be worshipped. Do you want to know what Lordship Salvationists want? They want respect and admiration for their holiness. That is why they boast of how they have done something that it is impossible to do: Turn away from sin. This all stems from pride, and Satan is prideful.
Isaiah 14:12-15: “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.”
“But you have never believed, you have never called on His name, IF you had, then you would have been drawn to repent of your sins by the Holy Spirit.”
Here, this "Christian" accuses me of not being saved. The truth is, I have believed on Jesus, and I have called on His name. According to the Bible, I’m saved.
Romans 10:9: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Lordship Salvationists attempt to be tricky and hide their false doctrine by saying, “I never said you had to stop sinning to be saved! I only said that if you were truly saved, you would stop sinning!”
Folks, the Bible never says one must stop sinning to be saved or to remain saved. You should turn from sin in order to maintain fellowship with God (1st John 1:6), in order to receive rewards in Heaven (1st Corinthians 3:11-15), and also to be a witness to those who have not yet been saved (1st Corinthians 15:34). Don’t be fooled by Satan’s doctrine, which teaches that you have to work to be saved. God did the work, and God does the saving! Leave it up to Him! He doesn’t need your help to save your soul!
“It’s always been the case, people like you (worldly carnal people) who have made excuses for sin and generation have come and generation have gone, and where are they now? Except in hell….”
Where have I made excuses for sin? I simply said sin will not keep a believer from Heaven, and that is based on Biblical truth! And how does this heretic know that people like me have gone to Hell? Has he been there? No, he has assumed it, because he believes that those not adhering to a pride-based religion like he is are not saved.
“That’s what you’re doing, sinning willfully, and thus trampling underfoot the Son of God, like the Pharisees did, who were sinning willfully.”
The Pharisees were a very strict and religious group. The reason they did not make it to Heaven was not because of their sins. It was because of their unbelief in Jesus Christ. In Luke 12:1, Jesus said “Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.” Jesus warned that the teachings of the Pharisees were rooted in hypocrisy. Lordship Salvation is hypocrisy as well, because Lordship Salvationists say they have turned from their sins and are living a holy life. The Bible says no one can do such things!
Romans 3:10-12: “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
No one does good! Not even those pretending to be righteous, like Lordship Salvationists. They are in fact doing evil, by keeping the lost from coming to Jesus Christ for salvation! Do you think God will look kindly on those who keep sinners from putting their faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation? It is only a humanistic, prideful type of person who would believe that he can clean up his ways enough to merit God’s favor. We are saved by grace (mercy)! We are saved even though we don’t deserve it!
Ephesians 2:8-9: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Check out the next verse.
Ephesians 2:10: “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
A believer should do good works, but they come after salvation, and salvation is not dependant on good works! A believer is already saved by God’s grace!
Now let’s examine just one more quote from this Lordship Salvationist.
“Remember the Bible says that if you sin willfully after you have received the knowledge of the truth, that there remains no more forgiveness of sins.”
He’s referring to Hebrews 10:26:
“For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins.”
Notice that this is not speaking about someone who is saved. The Bible carefully words this as someone who has “received the knowledge of the truth.” Many, many people have received the knowledge that Jesus Christ died for their sins. And many have not believed on Jesus for salvation. You can receive something and not accept it. If a FedEx worker shows up at your front door, and you refuse to sign for your package, it is not yours. You received it, but you did not accept it. You have to receive the “truth,” not just “the knowledge of the truth.” Many people were there in the days when Jesus walked the earth. They had knowledge of him, as people do now. It does someone no good, however, unless they believe on Him.
I have used the ramblings of this Lordship Salvation heretic in order to show firsthand just how incredibly misled and ignorant these people are of God and the Bible. They can quote Scripture, but they sure can’t understand it! What good does the Bible do for one who cannot understand it? How does it help your position when you quote Bible verses that you do not understand, taken out of context, and in turn can be used to make you look foolish? It makes no sense whatsoever! And neither does Lordship Salvation!
Folks, getting saved is so easy! God made it that way on purpose! Lordship Salvationists would have you believe that Jesus was here to be our example. If that were the case, why did Jesus have to die on the cross? Why didn’t He simply teach us how to live, and then say “Believe I am the Son of God, follow my example, and I will see you in Heaven.” Jesus came here to die for sinners! Jesus came here to pay a price we could not pay! No amount of turning from sin or doing good works will ever, ever earn God’s favor! It is a prideful thing to think otherwise! Do you want to know God’s simple plan of salvation? Here it is:
John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
God loved the world. God sent His Son to die for the sins of the world. If you believe on Jesus Christ, you will be saved.
2nd Corinthians 4:3-4: “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”
1st John 5:5: “Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?”
Satan is “the god of this world.” Do you want to overcome this world? You will never do it by “repenting of sins,” or “surrendering your life to Christ,” or attending church, or getting baptized, or doing good works. You will overcome this world by believing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, come to take away the sins of the world!
John 1:29: “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”
Luke 19:10: “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
Hebrews 12:2: “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Salvation starts with Jesus, and it ends with Him. Do not interfere with His plan by trying to “repent of sin” and earn your salvation. Jesus is the “finisher of our faith.” That means He will take care of the saving! If you trust in Him, you are in good hands! If you trust in your good life, like a Lordship Salvationist does, you are in for a world of disappointment!
Lordship Salvationists: Wolves in Sheep's Clothing
